When I came across Tina's portfolio, I was immediately struck by the beauty and elegance of her work. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Tina in person, and I can honestly say that her talent is matched only by her warmth and approachability.

I wanted to take the opportunity to ask her a few questions to dive a little deeper into her passion for bridal beauty and what drives her in her work.
What inspired you to specialize in bridal makeup and hairstyling?
Tina: It started when I discovered how to enhance my own favorite features. I felt confident and like the best version of myself and I wanted to help others feel that same way. Specialising in bridal beauty is especially rewarding because I get to make brides feel their absolute best on one of the most important days of their lives!
How long have you been working with brides, and what keeps your passion alive?
Tina: I’ve been a bridal stylist for nearly a decade and have worked with over 400+ incredible brides. Whether they’re locals from Denmark or traveling here for a destination elopement. No two weddings are ever the same, and it keeps my work exciting! 😊
Would you say you have a signature style or approach to bridal beauty?
Tina: Definitely! My focus is all about creating a look that makes you feel as confident as you feel comfortable. I love getting to know each clients personal style, and then translating that into their unique bridal look. On the day, I’m like your unofficial bridesmaid, there to help make you look amazing while keeping the vibe relaxed and fun. 🤩
How do you help brides choose the perfect makeup and hairstyle?
Tina: We start by having a chat about which elements you love about your inspiration photos, perhaps we will look at some photos where you loved your hair and makeup if you have any. Having a rehearsal is a great choice especially if you’re unsure about which look you’re wanting!
What’s a rehearsal session like, and why is it so important?
Tina: The rehearsal is our chance to experiment and finetune your look. We will test different hairstyles and makeup styles, and find your best color match. By the time your wedding day arrives, you know exactly how you will look and you can just lean back and enjoy the moments!
How do you make sure the bride’s look stays put all day?
Tina: I’ve refined a process that keeps your hair and makeup perfect for 12+ hours. It starts with proper skin and hair preparation, followed by setting every step properly with long-lasting products. I always provide a custom touch-up kit and walk you through how and when to use it.
What should brides do to prep their skin and hair before the wedding?
Tina: For your skin, proper exfoliation and lots of moisturising will make your makeup look a lot better. I recommend products like Dermalogicq’s “Microfoliant”, Kiehl’s “Niacinamide Serum” or La Roche-Posay’s “Cicaplast B5 Cream”. For hair, focus on scalp health and consider a gloss treatment for added shine. I have a full guide for this you can find on my website! ✨
What’s your top tip for brides choosing their wedding look?
Tina: Don’t focus on trends alone, choose a look that enhances your natural beauty and makes you feel like your most beautiful self! 💕
How can brides make sure their hair and makeup look stunning in photos?
Tina: There are a few tricks! Individual lashes make your eyes stand out, and a touch of extra blush makes your cheeks look vibrant in pictures. During the rehearsal, I also take photos of your look to see how it translates on camera and we make adjustments if needed.
Which bridal hair and makeup styles are the most popular right now?
Tina: For makeup, definitely natural, glowing skin, paired with soft cream blush and delicate cluster lashes. It’s a super flattering look! For hair, polished waves and romantic half-up styles with hair jewelry or baby’s breath are all some of my most requested looks! 🌸
How do you keep up with new techniques in bridal beauty?
Tina: I attend workshops, masterclasses, and industry events to learn the latest techniques. I also test most new product launches to make sure I’m using the best tools and products for my brides.
Wedding days can be unpredictable. How do you handle challenges?
Tina: After seven years of focusing exclusively on weddings, I’ve learned to stay calm and flexible. I always schedule extra time to handle last-minute adjustments. Whether it’s perfecting touch-ups, fixing a veil, or even helping with shoes, I’m ready to step in so everything stays on track.
What inspired you to offer bouquet services alongside hair and makeup?
Tina: I wanted to make wedding mornings easier and more relaxed for my brides, which is why I started offering bouquets as part of my service. Now, I can bring the flowers with me when I arrive to style you, so there’s no last-minute stress or running around.
I still remember one wedding where it was just me and the bride, and the flower delivery couldn’t find her accommodation. I ended up running out to track down the bouquet myself, which delayed us by 15-20 minutes. We made it on time, but the extra stress could have been avoided if the flowers had been with me from the start.
That experience stuck with me, and it’s why I decided to include bouquets in what I do. Not only does it save time and hassle, but it also lets me design the bouquet to perfectly match your overall look!
